ABSTRACT:

Tridax procumbens a perennial herb has been used in curing varied types of ailment and is currently being exploited in pharmaceutical industries for its medicinal properties. A comparative study of aqueous and ethanolic leaf extracts were done on Pseudomonas aeruginosa and was found that ethanolic and aqueous extracts shows zones of Inhibitions thus confirming the antibacterial properties present in the extracts. Ethanolic extract showed more growth inhibitory diameter of 12.3mm with respect to 10 mm diameter of zone of inhibition of aqueous extract.
