ABSTRACT:

“Women Entrepreneurship” means an act of business ownership and business creation that empowers women economically in a position in society. The women entrepreneurship contributes not only to economic development of the country, but also to the economic well-being of the family and communities. Women represent half the resource and half the potential in all the societies. However, Indian women need to go a long way for a achieving equal rights and position because our traditions are deep rooted and out society is still mal dominated. Economic development of today’s woman is crucial for economic development of any country, especially India. Despite number of incentives and measures taken by the Government of India, the women entrepreneurs are not increasing at a greater level. The paper focuses on the problems and challenges faced by women entrepreneurship and how to overcome them and to know about different loan schemes under Government of India.
