ABSTRACT:

Well, you have a right not to be satisfied “until justice rolls down..” but what is the extent to which this dissatisfaction can extend is a matter of some really complex judicial maneuver. This essay shall deal with the “appealability of the award of Lok Adalat in the context of the law laid down in PT Thomas v Thomas[1] and other recent judicial developments on the issue. However to put things in place, the section I of the essay will deal with the concept of lokadalts in a nutshell and the statutory omission of the right to appeal against an award of the lokadalat. The Section II of the essay will deal with the law laid down in the case and the last section will analyze the recent developments on the issue.
